Ava W - Developer Journal
Week 7
I began this week by further developing my idea for the sustainability brief. I finalised the idea that I mentioned last week and started the initial coding for my project. A lot of the coding I needed to test the arm and understand its initial movements was available as an example in the Arduino IDE. This meant that I used this time to understand the code and further develop it. I have now ended this week with my Braccio arm picking up a sponge, rotating 180°, and placing it down again. I feel this is a good base to develop further and show in the show and tell on Thursday. The show and tell was a great way to see how everyone else was developing their projects, as well as seeing what the Creative Computing students had been doing in response to the brief.

Additionally, this week was a big week for writing. I managed to start my task documentation for both part 1 (research) and part 2 (documentation). The research I have completed this week has helped me understand how others might respond to a similar brief but applied in real-world settings. I was also able to explain a lot of my development and the iterative approach I took to this project.
We also had a session on our personal planning folder. This was a great introduction to how we can market ourselves and create an interesting professional profile.
