Ava W - Developer Journal
Week 15
The Bank Plain project this year was focused on plotters, LEDs, and p5.js. I have been very excited to try the plotters and see how I could use in the workshops and for future art projects. The first day of the Bank Plain project ended up being the only day I attended of the project, as I needed to focus on writing. However, I was able to use the plotters with some of my code, to create the pieces below. Instead of creating new code, I decided to reuse some of my old code from a previous p5.js project. This gave me a grid of circles that the plotter could create. To take this further, we decided to create the same grid of circles over the top of each other with different starting points and pens. This led to the main piece we created below. I am very excited to use the plotters again at some point, to create even more designs.

During the rest of the week, I decided to focus on writing and catching up. I managed to finish the rest of the documentation for the Pololu task, talking about the finished project, my feelings, and breaking down the code. Overall, I am pleased with the documentation. Although it’s shorter than I normally produce, it still contains the important information. Additionally, I managed to make significant progress on my essay. I now have most of the Micro:bit paragraph completed and have collected most of my sources ready for the rest.
