Weeks 24, 25, + 26

These past three weeks, I have been working on my sections of the group project and the research report proposal. For the group project, I have mainly been conducting research and setting up the Raspberry Pi to use as our webcam. This has given me a chance to relearn the basics of Raspberry Pi and how to collaborate on code with others. I also created the fabric moth needed for the cams and followers part of our project. I am really enjoying being able to mix my more artistic talents into the projects we make now, as it’s always something I want to do in my pieces. For the research report proposal, I created an initial mind map to help gather my ideas. This gave me a great base to start deciding on sections for my actual project next year and inspired me to conduct more research and gather sources.

Overall, these weeks have been a good mix of research and physical work on both projects. I am now confident going forward that we will be done in time for submission, and be proud of what we have done in a group, as well as on my own, for the project proposal.

Week 26 was also the week of the London trip. We went to two interactive immersive experiences that allowed us to see how we could use creative technology in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip as I had never been to large immersive experiences before.
